The glaze of the sketch is black and that of the whole mug is transparent. So the white color is the original color of porcelain.

Why it is called Be Water mug?- 

Be Water is the philosophy of the Hong Kong Legend, Bruce Lee. When he created Jeet Kune Do (截拳道), he believed people should be as flexible as water, so that we can protect ourselves by attacking effectively. Here is his quote: 

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water.

You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup;

You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle;

You put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot.

Water can flow or it can crash.

Be water, my friend.

In our daily life, there are good times and bad times. We need to live like water and be flexible to all challenges.
